Old Dovorian Lodge News
Welcome to the summer edition of the OD Lodge News, Since the last edition at the end of last year a lot has changed, in fact for some of us, our whole way of life has changed very quickly, and in a very short period of time. This has meant that we have had to adapt to the new environment we find ourselves,
As a result the last few months has seen the Lodge’s masonic year disrupted, as a result of the Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England, Commanding, that all Masonic events and meetings are to be suspended with immediate effect for a period of four months, that is until the end of June.
This resulted in the lodge having to cancel the regular meeting in April, as well as
the annual Ladies Summer Festival, due to be held at the College in June,
This was a great shame, as the event was shaping up to be the best attended Ladies Festival the lodge had held to date.
However, the lodge has already begun to plan for next year’s Ladies Festival, which will again be held at the College on Saturday 19th June 2021, this will co – inside with the Colleges 150-year anniversary celebrations.
The Lodges next regular meeting is on Tuesday 6th October, subject to both Government and UGLE notification and guidance.
