I joined Dover College in School House in 2012 to complete my A levels as a full-time boarder. While I was only there for two years, I had a fantastic time. Both through sport and studying I learned a great deal about myself.
After leaving the College, I went to Queen Mary University in London. At the end of my first year, with the advice and guidance of the Old Dovorian Network, I was fortunate to secure a month-long internship at Aon. This was where I was first introduced to the insurance sector, and I very quickly realised I wanted to pursue a career in the industry.
Once I graduated in 2017, I started at the insurance broker JLT Re. After only a few months they were acquired by Marsh McLennan. I spent five years at the Group, in the reinsurance arm called Guy Carpenter. I specialised in construction reinsurance of major global projects.
I then moved to Alesco (part of the Arther J Gallagher Group) in 2022, and currently I’m still employed there. I work with global clients to assist with their construction insurance needs.
The Old Dovorian Network provides a valuable platform for current students to learn about careers, but also for former students to keep in touch with old friends. I look forward to working with the Committee, to develop the network and enhance its capabilities.
