Old Dovorian’s Visit St John’s Wood

On Thursday, the 20th July 2023, a number of Old Dovorian’s and their friends were duly entertained by the Chairman of the Old Dovorian Club, as his guests in a members suite in the famous Lords Tavern Stand, on the second day of the County Championship match between Middlesex and Surrey

Everyone were welcomed into the “Shaun Pollock” suite with a glass of bubbles to set the day off, the weather was set fair for the day.

The chairman then took a couple of his guests and showed them around the Pavilion, and watched some cricket from the famous Lords Long Room, also getting a “birds eye” view of play from the top tier of the iconic Pavilion of the cricketing world.

After a great day in good company and enjoyable conversation,  due to the train strike every one started to leave a bit earlier than otherwise would have, to ensure that they caught their trains home.

All have asked to be invited next year to hopefully make this an annual event as a meet up, to renew friendships and spend a relaxing day watching cricket in good company.
