The Walsh Brothers Complete an Original Mountain Marathon

Mike Walsh (L0–07) along with his brothers Andy (L01–08) and Matt (L11-13) have been part of a team raising money for Care for Veterans, by competing in the Original Mountain Marathon (OMM) which was organised by their Dad, who has just celebrated his 40th year in the British army, which he joined at the age of 16 years old as a “Boy Soldier”, so this was a bit of an anniversary fundraising push for a charity that Mike and his brothers really care about. They have raised over £1,300 in their recent Original Mountain Marathon (OMM) event.

So, what Original Mountain Marathon (OMM)? OMM is a 2-day orienteering event where competitors are self-sufficient across the entire race

Walsh Bros OMM run 4

(camping, food, clothing, emergency gear etc. all carried as you go) specifically organised for the end of October to ensure competitors face tricky weather and poor visibility to test navigation and running skills.
