The Cranleigh Group Annual 2023 Dinner

The Cranleigh Group Annual 2023 Dinner

The Cranleigh Group met up for their annual Old Dovorian Supper held at the White Hart in Cranleigh, Surrey (known as the largest village in the country.) The Group have been holding their annual dinner at the White Hart since 2011, and usually takes place in mid-November to coincide with St. Martin’s Day (the College’s patron saint).

On Friday the 10th November 22 ODs sat down, together with the College’s Headmaster for a steak and kidney pie dinner followed by apple and blackcurrant crumble. Michael Lightbourn (S56-61) came over from the Bahamas, and David Sawyer (M54-58) came over with his wife from Sydney, Australia to attend.

The evening is, as always hosted and organised by Tony Robin (M61-66) in their usual efficient way.

Following the evening dinner, six ODs stayed the night and dispersed the following morning after a leisurely cooked breakfast.

Next year’s annual dinner is already being thought about, with a thought of maybe holding a lunch instead of an evening dinner, so keep a look out for more information in the coming months.
