Mark Coupland (S76 – 81) and his helicopter crew have been awarded the prestigious Edward and Maisie Lewis Award for an outstanding air / sea rescue.

Which involved the rescue of 8 crew from the French yacht “Gannet” in storm force 10 conditions, demonstrating the highest standards of judgment and professionalism, and crew cooperation combined with outstanding initiative and courage on Monday 31st October 2022.
